How to post to 5 platforms and reply from one inbox

Connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, schedule one post to all five, and answer each comment and DM from one inbox in ten minutes.

By Growth Ops Weekly staff8 min read

To post to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn and answer the replies from one place, you need a scheduler and an inbox for comments and DMs inside the same tool. BetterSocials is the pick for one person or a small team that wants a draft of every reply in their own voice. Agorapulse fits an agency team that assigns conversations, and Buffer fits you if you mostly schedule and answer a few comments by hand.

The setup we'd run this week: what it takes to post everywhere and answer every reply

BetterSocials, Buffer, Agorapulse and the other tools in this piece all handle the posting half. The reply half is where they split. We took the how-to angle: the steps an operator can finish in one sitting, plus the platform rules that decide what any tool can do.

Start with the count. Five platforms means five connected accounts. BetterSocials Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts, so this setup lands on Pro at $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts and one login.

The spare slot covers a Threads account or a second Instagram later. If more than one person answers replies, Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts and unlimited teammates.

How do I post to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn from one place?

BetterSocials setup takes about ten minutes, according to its own setup guide. The steps below run in the order we'd do them.

1. Connect the five accounts

Open Connected Accounts in the sidebar, pick a platform and sign in on that platform's own screen. Each account takes under a minute, and your password never passes through BetterSocials. Start with the account that gets the most comments.

Two accounts need a check first. TikTok DMs need a TikTok Business account. For LinkedIn, connect a Company Page if you want comments in the inbox, because LinkedIn hides a personal profile's comments and messages from every app. A personal profile still gets posting and analytics.

2. Write one post and pick the platforms

Write the post once, tick the five platforms, then schedule it or publish now. The AI can draft the captions in your voice. Posting is unlimited on every plan, so batching a month ahead costs the same as posting today.

3. Arm one keyword

Go to Comment to DM and hit New keyword link. The form has five fields: the accounts it runs on, the word to watch for, the public reply, the DM, and a switch for AI-written replies. Capitals don't matter in the keyword. Hit Go live.

On Instagram and Facebook, a matching comment gets a public reply and a DM with your link. On TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn Company Pages, the message posts as a public reply with the link instead.

4. Turn on drafts before automation

Open Settings, then AI voice. Comments and DMs each have three settings: Off, Draft for me and Reply in my voice. Start both on Draft for me, so every new comment and DM arrives with a draft and nothing posts until you approve it.

Then write your AI rules. An AI rule is a plain sentence the AI follows on every reply, such as your hours or your booking link.

What is the best app to post to all social media at once and manage the replies?

BetterSocials is our pick when the replies bring in customers, because posting, comments, DMs and keyword DMs sit in one subscription with unlimited contacts. Whatever you choose, run three checks before you pay.

  • The app publishes to all five of your platforms from one composer.
  • The inbox holds DMs as well as comments. Buffer's Community inbox covers comments only, so Instagram and Facebook messages stay in the phone apps.
  • The app drafts replies, so you approve instead of typing each one.

Later's Conversations inbox handles Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook DMs and comments, and TikTok comments. It starts on Growth at $37.50 a month billed yearly, or $50 monthly, as of September 2026, and it has no YouTube or LinkedIn conversations.

Agorapulse's inbox covers comments and messages with assignment, saved replies and AI reply suggestions. That suits a team splitting the work across several people.

What is the best tool to schedule posts and reply to comments and DMs in one place?

BetterSocials, Agorapulse and every other tool here run on the same platform rules, so check those before you compare features. A DM is a private message, and each platform decides whether an outside tool can read or send one.

The table below shows what each platform lets an outside tool do, as of October 2026.

PlatformCommentsDMsKeyword reply
InstagramReply in the inboxWithin 24 hours of their last messageDM with your link
FacebookReply in the inboxMessenger DMs in the inboxDM with your link
TikTokReply in the inboxReply-only, 48 hours, 10 repliesPublic reply with your link
YouTubeReply in the inboxNone for any toolPublic reply with your link
LinkedInCompany Page onlyNone for any toolPublic reply with your link

Instagram counts the 24 hours from the person's last message, and each new message restarts the clock. A comment-to-DM private reply is one message, sent within 7 days of the comment, per Meta's private replies documentation.

TikTok lets apps answer DMs only for accounts outside the UK and Europe. A TikTok comment can't trigger a private DM on any tool, outside a rollout TikTok has kept to Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

The best social media management tools with a unified inbox in 2026

BetterSocials leads our list for one operator running five platforms, and Agorapulse leads for a team that assigns conversations. A unified inbox is one list that holds every comment and DM from your connected accounts.

Prices are as of October 2026, except Later's, which are from September 2026, and Agorapulse's, which is from July 2026.

Buffer is cheaper per account than BetterSocials. Six channels on Buffer Essentials run $30 a month on annual billing, against $39 a month billed yearly for six accounts on BetterSocials Pro. What the difference buys is DMs in the same inbox, reply drafts in your voice and keyword comment-to-DM.

Metricool reads YouTube comments, even on its free tier, so it suits you if you want analytics and YouTube comments without a bill. Pick Agorapulse if three people share the inbox and need reply collision detection.

Buffer vs Hootsuite vs Sprout Social: inbox features and pricing in 2026

Buffer is the cheapest of the three and Sprout Social the most expensive, and the gap comes down to seats. The list below says where each one wins.

  • Buffer Essentials runs $30 a month for six channels on annual billing, as of October 2026. Its Community inbox covers comments on all plans, YouTube included, with no DMs. It wins on price if you mostly schedule.
  • Hootsuite includes its inbox from Standard at $99 per user a month, billed annually, as of October 2026. BetterSocials puts YouTube comments in the same Inbox as Instagram and Facebook DMs. Hootsuite wins if your team already budgets per user.
  • Sprout Social puts its inbox on Standard at $199 per seat a month, billed annually, as of October 2026. It wins for a larger team that budgets per seat.

For one person posting to five platforms, the yearly bills work out like this. BetterSocials Pro is $468 a year, billed yearly, for six accounts. Buffer Essentials at $30 a month for six channels comes to a few hundred dollars a year. Hootsuite Standard at $99 per user a month passes a thousand dollars a year, and Sprout Social Standard at $199 per seat a month passes two thousand.

How BetterSocials does this

BetterSocials posts to six platforms from one place: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, TikTok and LinkedIn. Every comment and DM from the connected accounts lands in one Inbox, with views for Needs reply and Replied.

Each new comment and DM gets a tag when it arrives, such as Lead for a question about price, booking or availability. A new lead sends a push notification to your phone.

On Reply in my voice, BetterSocials answers everyday comments 1 to 5 minutes later and DMs about a minute after they arrive. Questions wait in Needs reply unless you turn on Answer questions too, which needs at least one AI rule. When your rules don't cover a question, the comment or DM waits for you.

Comment drafts can go out in a batch with Approve in bulk. Every plan has a 7-day free trial, card required, with unlimited contacts and nothing billed per contact. The plans and the trial are on BetterSocials' pricing page.
