Yes. LinkDM and CreatorFlow both cap automated DMs by plan. LinkDM sends 1,000 DMs a month free and 25,000 on Pro, and CreatorFlow sends 500 free, 5,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Growth.

CreatorFlow is best for Instagram-only template DMs at the lowest price, and LinkDM is best for a high Pro cap on Instagram and Facebook. BetterSocials is best when DMs on several platforms need AI replies, and it sends unlimited DMs on every plan, from $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts.

Where LinkDM and CreatorFlow set their DM caps

LinkDM and CreatorFlow both meter the same thing: automated DMs sent per month. We take the operator's version of the question here. You get the caps in one table, then the steps to work out which cap your account would hit before you buy.

A comment-to-DM tool is software that sends a private message with your link when someone comments a keyword on your post. Every DM it sends counts against the plan. CreatorFlow's prices in the table are as of October 2026 and LinkDM's as of September 2026.

ToolFree planPaid DM capsEntry pricePlatforms
CreatorFlow500 DMs a month, 1 account5,000 or 10,000 a month$15 a month, 2 accountsInstagram only
LinkDM1,000 DMs a month25,000 a month on Pro$19, 3 accountsInstagram and Facebook
BetterSocialsNo free plan, 7-day trialUnlimited on every plan$29 a month, 4 accountsSix, keyword DMs on two

CreatorFlow and LinkDM are the cheaper two at the entry tier. The caps are what you trade for that price, so the rest of this piece is about whether your posts would reach them.

LinkDM's plans, cap by cap

LinkDM's Free plan sends 1,000 DMs a month. Pro is $19, as of September 2026, for three Instagram accounts and 25,000 DMs a month. Platinum+ sits above it at $99.

LinkDM works on Instagram and Facebook. It sends keyword and template replies, with no AI replies, so every DM is a message you wrote in advance. The current figures sit on LinkDM's pricing page.

For an operator, the Pro cap is the number that matters. At 25,000 a month across three accounts, one reel with 3,000 keyword comments uses 12% of it. A month with several strong posts adds up, so the count still belongs in your plan.

CreatorFlow's plans and its per-workspace count

CreatorFlow's Free plan sends 500 automated DMs a month on one Instagram account. Pro is $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly, as of October 2026, for 5,000 DMs per workspace on two accounts. Growth is $30 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for 10,000 DMs on five accounts with five team seats.

A workspace is the container that holds your connected accounts. CreatorFlow states its Pro and Growth caps per workspace, per month. When you size a plan, add up the keyword DMs for every account you'll put in that workspace.

CreatorFlow is Instagram only and sends template replies, with no AI replies. Its pricing is flat with no per-contact fees, and every plan includes unlimited automations. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial that needs a payment method, per CreatorFlow's pricing page.

Five steps to size your DM volume this week

LinkDM, CreatorFlow and every other tool on Instagram share one set of platform limits, so you size the plan in two passes: the monthly cap, then Instagram's hourly pace. You can do all five steps in one spreadsheet.

1. Find your best post's keyword comments

Pull the comment count from the strongest keyword post you've run. That's the most one post has asked of a plan. Use the real number from your account, not an average.

2. Set that post against each monthly cap

Take a reel with 3,000 keyword comments, one DM per person. On CreatorFlow Free that's six times the 500 cap. On CreatorFlow Pro it uses more than half of the 5,000 pool, and on Growth it uses under a third of 10,000.

On LinkDM Free that reel is three times the 1,000 cap. On LinkDM Pro it uses 12% of 25,000. On BetterSocials there's no monthly count to set it against.

3. Price the plan at the account count you run

Compare at matching account counts. CreatorFlow Pro covers two accounts for $15 a month, LinkDM Pro covers three for $19, and BetterSocials Creator covers four for $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly. At five accounts, CreatorFlow Growth at $30 a month is cheaper than BetterSocials Pro at $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts.

4. Check Instagram's hourly pace

Meta caps private replies to comments at 750 calls an hour per Instagram professional account, per its Graph API rate-limit docs. Automation tools pace closer to 200 DMs an hour. Divide your best post's comments by 200 to get hours of queue: 3,000 comments is 15 hours.

5. Add the per-person and seven-day rules

Comment triggers send one automated DM per person per 24 hours, so someone who comments on two posts in a day gets one DM. Meta's own wording on its help page for comment actions is: "You can't send a message in response to comments posted more than 7 days ago." A queue that runs long past a post's first week loses those DMs. For the keyword setup itself, our walkthrough on how to set up "comment LINK and I'll DM you" on Instagram in 2026 has the steps.

Plans that bill on something other than DMs

ManyChat doesn't count DMs. It bills by active contacts, meaning each person who interacts with you through ManyChat in the billing month. Pro is $39 a month, or $29 billed yearly, as of October 2026, with 2,500 active contacts and $0.05 for each extra contact on monthly billing.

So a ManyChat Pro account on monthly billing that reaches 4,000 people in a month pays $39 + 1,500 x $0.05 = $114. Past the limit, automations keep running and the overage is billed automatically.

BetterSocials sends unlimited DMs on every plan, with unlimited contacts and keyword automations. AI credits meter AI writing only. When they run out, the AI pauses until the month resets, and nothing is charged on its own.

Our pick for each kind of team

CreatorFlow is our pick for an Instagram-only account that sends template DMs and wants the lowest price. Pro at $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly, covers two accounts, and Growth adds five seats for a small team at $30 a month.

LinkDM is our pick when you need a high monthly cap on Instagram and Facebook with template replies. Pro's 25,000 DMs across three accounts for $19 leaves room for eight reels the size of that 3,000-comment one.

BetterSocials is our pick when DMs on several platforms need AI replies and you don't want to watch a monthly count. Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts and one login. Teammates start on Team at $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts.

Setting it up in BetterSocials

BetterSocials runs keyword comment-to-DM on Instagram and Facebook with unlimited DMs. A keyword in a comment sends the person a DM with your link. On TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, the keyword posts a public reply with the link instead.

The setup for an operator takes three steps. Connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts so every comment and DM lands in one inbox. Set a keyword and the link it sends.

Then turn on AI replies for DMs under Settings, then AI voice. Each DM setting is Off, Draft for me or Reply in my voice, and it covers Instagram, Facebook and TikTok DMs (TikTok outside the UK and Europe). Each AI reply uses one AI credit, and Creator includes 1,000 a month.

When your AI rules don't cover what someone asked, the DM waits for you in Needs reply. Plans run from $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts. You can start your free trial from the pricing page on bettersocials.ai, or see how it works on its comment-to-DM page.
